Letter to Jake Andersen
“I would not be the man today without my freshman year roommate, Jake Andersen. He was always there when I needed to talk about what was bothering me and dealt with my wild emotions. He always calmed me down and figured out the situation with me. He was the father at school that I never had.”
Thank you for being such an inspiration to HEX: #aa4322 he believes you have impacted him tremendously. You have been a huge part as to why the images were composed a certain way for the dissemination of Ryan’s story. I, especially, appreciate how much of an inspiration you have been in Ryan’s life and how you brought him out of his chaotic episodes. Hearing your impact in his life really helped me capture the story of Ryan in the best way possible for this project.
Based off of my interview with Ryan, You are HEX: #oc4da2 because you are sincere, reliable, and trustworthy and Ryan appreciates you for it. Your HEX CODE has the emphasis of tranquility and trust. Kudos to you for being a huge support system, I understand that everyone has a lot going on in their lives, but it says a lot about your character that you find the time to intensely comfort others that are in need of support. This leads me into stating the components of your character that are translated into a unique color HEX CODE which I made for you and it is named after you.

You are the color of the divine. Having a personality of the color blue means you have a deep need for peace and harmony in your everyday life, you are confident and self controlled, and are a major helping hand to others. You are sensitive to the needs of others when they need it most, by being friendly and sociable.
You are a rescuer and love to be needed, forming very strong attachments with the world and people around you. As a blue, you can be rigid, you like to stick to what is familiar to you and it is hard to sway you from your path, but it benefits the needs of one of another color. You keep the other colors in line, for they are trusting that your intuition is correct for the right reasons. You exemplified this with Ryan.
You understand people and are willing to listen, you save people’s lives without you even realizing it. Blue personas are common for not being aware of the impact they have on the world, because they hold themselves and situations in such a cool manner.
Be proud that you took on the emotional role that HEX: #aa4322 ’s actual father failed at being to him. You became the soft hand whose hidden calluses signified strength, self sacrifice, and thoughtfulness. You created Ryan’s visible path out of the chaotic, combusted darkness that sometimes led him away from understanding his meaning in this life. His life was consumed in dark until your love, support, and strength embellished it with striking colors, your blue highly illuminant. Your color is multi-formal, you are the aquatic rainbow that embraces HEX: #a4322 to keep him warm, a kaleidoscopic dream; you are the parable that illustrates truth.
A moment between you and Ryan that exemplified your characteristics and your relationship with him is when you taught him what it means to live life in great harmony, with no worries.
“I would watch Jake not have a care in the world for so long. I was really jealous that he lived his life that carefree, I obviously never held it against him and was extremely happy he lived his life that way, but at the same time I just wished I could have the same mindset as him. Jake and I, from the moment I met him, became instant best buds and it was like I knew him my entire life. After some stuff that went down with my ex-girlfriend he really showed me how to live my life in a way where I just didn’t let stuff bother me as much. Andersen showed me how to truly be happy and just let some stuff go. I really miss living with him because of everything he showed me… in reality he’s one of the smartest kids I know. He really knows how to really care for someone and I will always appreciate him for showing me how to live my life in a way that I am proud of.”
Ryan believes walking through life with you has been an amazing journey; he honors you and the rest of the years you both will have together. Continue to embrace and support the people you care about, those blue elements of your personality are what is going to change the world and other’s lives.
People deserve to know you, do not look in the wrong, chromatic mirror, see yourself the way Ryan sees you.

**This is the photo in his story that you were the inspiration for the use of exposure, composition, and lighting.**
Ryan expressed to me that you were always honest with him about how to handle himself and the situations that he came across. He expressed that you were the seeker of his own honest opinions and that you could always see that in him. You were the metaphorical composition to this photo; the idea of the honesty being seen behind his eyes. The black line across his mouth represents his truth being blocked by his bi-polar disorder, the ambiance around him is completely black as he is consumed in combusted darkness. His eyes are the only view of his honesty which you metaphorically are illuminating. Your blue stripe is hidden, but present. If you look closely it is the line next to the white line on the neck (between the two darkened yellows). This is your label in the photo, you are the hidden gem in his life that drives him forward. I composed your line in a certain direction: Your line is a direct diagonal bisector to the lungs, your line is a metaphorical breath assister, symbolizing the air you give to him day by day. Your hidden blue is also under the left eye stamping the impact on his face without it being prominent.
